Submission Rules
Before you submit a photo to Combat Lens, please take a few minutes to read through these guidelines. We want to keep the club fair, organized, and focused on quality martial arts photography. All photos must be taken by the person submitting them. We do not accept photos that were taken by someone else, pulled from the internet, or edited by someone other than the photographer. The photo must feature a real martial arts discipline, which includes but is not limited to boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, wrestling, judo, MMA, karate, and taekwondo. Submissions that do not clearly feature a martial arts context will not be accepted for voting. We also ask that all photos be kept respectful toward the athletes shown. Photos that are degrading, offensive, or taken without the subject's knowledge in a private setting will be removed immediately.
For file format, we accept JPG, PNG, and GIF files only. The maximum file size per submission is 1MB. Files larger than 1MB will not be accepted. Photo dimensions should be at least 800 pixels wide so that the image looks good when displayed on the voting page. You may submit one photo per category per month, meaning a maximum of three photos total each month. Photos must be submitted before the 20th of each month to be included in that month's voting round. Voting opens on the 21st and closes on the last day of the month. Winners are announced on the first of the following month and added to the gallery. By submitting a photo you agree that Combat Lens may display your image on the site for gallery and voting purposes. You will always be credited as the photographer.
